Last year, Lervig put their deep chocolate Original Sin base in barrels used to mature maple syrup in Quebec, Canada. The leftover syrup in the barrels gives a sweetness to this imperial stout. This is offset by tobacco and toasted oak notes from the wood originally used for bourbon. A touch of maple syrup rounds out this complex and sinfully rich beer.
