The tender contains predominantly chocolate malt for a balance between the roasted character and the silky smooth notes of dark chocolate. We supplemented this with lots of oat flakes, some roasted brown malt and the atmosphere of dark fruit and syrup caused by a mix of crystal malts.
For an extra creamy vibe, they also added demerara, lactose and vanilla to the boil while pushing for their highest starting weight ever. At the end of fermentation, they added 20 g/l of cocoa beans and some coarsely ground coffee beans to the conditioning for another month, to complete this decadent treat.
