In 2015, there was a one-off Imperial stout that matured in barrels for almost a year. These barrels had a rich chocolate-vanilla character, but needed a pick-me-up. Stauf's Coffee Roasters, of Columbus, Ohio, has nailed the perfect roast on authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, complementing the barrel-aged stout. Champion ground was born! The illustration on the label is of Charlie Ace's Swing-a-ling mobile record house which was infamous for broadcasting the "Champion Sound.
