Close for Comfort is a blend of 22-month-old calvados cask-aged barleywine, a Templeton rye cask and two small-sized Rockfilter cask-based 19-month-old Barleywine that Forager Brewery has brewed with maple sap instead of water. They conditioned this barrel-aged blend on house-roasted coconut, toasted pecans, and vanilla bean caviar. The resulting flavor is reminiscent of butter pecan ice cream drizzled with bourbon.
