This is one of 11 releases of barrel aged Imperial Russian Stout. One brew, split into 11 different barrels and left to develop and absorb the character and flavor embedded in the wood. This one has been in an American Rye Whiskey Barrel for 8 years and has taken on the peppery malt profile, with sweet vanilla notes. This will develop over time, but this is excellent to drink now.
