Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout Double Barrel (2022)

When they first released Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout in early 2012, they knew we believed in the experience it had to offer, but with only six people showing up for the original release, they had no idea how good it would be in the long run. would be received. A few years later, with thousands of visitors from all over the world, they were humbled and excited to do something special for KBBS's 10th anniversary. So in March 2020, they brewed a special batch that would rest in freshly emptied 19-year-old Elijah Craig barrels. After approximately 14 months in those barrels, they selected and blended the best of what the barrels had to offer, then introduced this blend for another 14 months in a handful of 21-year-old Elijah Craig barrels. Ultimately, only a few selected barrels were worthy of becoming KBBS Reserve. Decadently charged with notes of chocolate brownie batter, waves of maple and espresso, and finished with beautiful bourbon spice, they feel it matches what their original KBBS represented, while also exploring the outer limits of what a beer experience can be.
