Off the Rack Paragon 2023 By Rackhouse

Lervig often leaves behind a few exceptional barrels from previous batches to use in their Off The Rack series. This year they selected a few mature barrels from 2022 and 2023. Because they taste great, they decided to create an OTR blend of vintages for this year's version. They've taken their best barrels with the higher ABV because of the angel's share evaporated over the year in Jim Beam barrels and infused them with the nearly 3-year-old Heaven Hill-aged Paragon 22. There are many more deep notes from caramel and toffee, dried fruit and even a subtle licorice note, finished with a seriously beautiful mouthfeel that fills your taste buds with oaky, bourbon-like warmth.
