Phantasm® is derived from the New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grape, which is then ground into a powder for use in beer.
To understand why Phantasm exists, we first have to ask ourselves what makes New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc so aromatic: the answer is all in the thiols, aromatic compounds naturally present in this type of grape.
Thiols alone are not enough, the right conditions are needed to best release their tropical aroma: fermentation is exactly what they need to shine.
Phantasm is not a substitute for hops, rather it is one of its greatest friends.
Increases the tropical flavor spectrum in your beer.
