Lervig contacted Von Winning Winery, loved their wines and on the hunt for high quality Sauvignon Blanc, they seemed like the perfect collaborating partner for this fusion product between wine and beer. Von Winning is just south of Frankfurt, Germany and they immediately loved the idea, so they shipped 2000 liters of their Sauvignon Blanc and at the same time Lervig brewed a Blanche wheat beer and dried it with Nelson Sauvin hops.
Now they have mixed: 80% Blanche beer and 20% Sauvignon Blanc wine, resulting in;
Sauvignon Blanc.
With aromas of passion fruit and yellow gooseberry, the wine complements the beer's delicate profile, resulting in an unparalleled fusion of flavours.
