Batch #52Laphroaig (peated whiskey) 70%New Oak Medium Toast 20%New Oak High Toast 10%Batch 52 is a very special and distinctive addition to the La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged series. No less than 70% of this batch consists of La Trappe Quadruple. This quadrupel matured for five years in barrels previously used for Laphroaig whisky. This is a Scottish Islay whiskey with a characteristic smoky character. The remaining 30% of Batch 52 has matured in new oak barrels, which give the beer softer aromas and enhance its complexity.
