Earlier this year we brewed our first double mash stout using 12 types of malts including Caramalt, Chocolate Malt, Chocolate Wheat, Chocolate Rye, Carabohemian. The rich chocolate caramel base was then matured in Lochlea's special selection of casks, allowing them to create their first core product 'Our Barley'. This barrel combination contained the perfect recipe of ex-bourbon, ex-Oloroso sherry casks and shaved, toasted and re-charred barriques.
