Utopias (2011)

Samuel Adams Utopias® truly epitomizes the two-thousand-year evolution of brewing, offering a taste unlike any other beer, but any other beverage in the world. Each release is a blend of batches, some aged for up to 16 years in the Boston Brewery's barrel room, in different woods. They matured some of the beer in hand-selected single-use bourbon barrels from the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. Some of the latest batches also spent time in Portuguese muscat casks, as well as sherry, cognac and brandy casks. This flavorful, slightly fruity brew has a sweet, malty flavor reminiscent of a deep, rich vintage port, fine cognac or aged sherry.
