Amelia 7th Birthday is a pure expression of the taste and aroma of Loganberry. In the early 1880s, fruit breeder James Harvey Logan of Santa Cruz crossed Aughinbaugh blackberries with red Antwerp raspberries, and the Loganberry was born. This melomel is deep red in color and allows the bright tartness and natural acidity of the berries to shine through, expertly balanced by the sweetness of orange blossom honey. Like this mead's namesake, Amelia is expected to develop and mature over many years.
